Halloween is always a lot of fun, decorating your front porch and lawn. Your roof is also a really great place to add some spooky decorations! Before adding anything to your roof you want to make sure you aren’t going to hurt yourself or anyone else and that it will be as hassle free as possible. We’ve got a few tips for decorating your roof for Halloween.
Safety First
If you haven’t had a roof inspection done, it a wise choice to have this done prior to decorating. Of course, you want to make sure your roof can handle the extra weight of your decorations, and no shingles have come loose making it easy for someone to get hurt. If your roof is not in good condition, we recommend you skip decorating your roof. Plan Your Scene

Gather Supplies
Adding lights to your scene will take it to a whole new level. Make sure you have extension cords that will reach, comfortably, and outlets…of course! If you must put an extension cord over high traffic areas, duct taping the cord to the pavement will reduce tripping hazard, and catastrophe. How will you be securing your decorations? You may want a bunch of zip ties on hand before climbing up on your roof. You can also use fish line to have your decorations positioned a certain way.
