- Outside light is coming in.
- Dark spots or trails on the roof
Then you can carefully climb up and look at your roof closely. Look for the following:
- Damaged or missing shingles
- Moss build-up
- A lot of Shingle grain in the gutters
Since we live in Edmonton, roofing repairs can also happen due to ice build-up. Look at your gutters and siding to see if ice dams have pushed them out of alignment or caused bulging behind them.
It is very important to note that climbing up on a roof can be very dangerous and can result in severe injury or death.
